Back in Krabi, I emailed Pickfords to check everything was OK with the shipping, and who I would need to contact when we got to Australia. It had been nearly two weeks at this point since they came to perform the removal, and we hadn't heard anything since. It turned out that they had miss quoted the original amount and they needed a significant number of extra boxes, increasing the cost of the removal. With the extra cost incurred in insurance included, it added an extra £660 to the total shipping quote. They obviously wouldn't be able to ship it until they received the extra money, so we were forced to trust the hotel wifi to be secure enough to do an online bank transfer. Let's hope the rest of the shipping goes smoothly.
