In a weeks time we will be flying back to the UK for the first time since we left at the end of November last year. It will be the real test of our emigration, as part of me still feels like this is all just one big holiday. It is going to be very strange to get back to Bath, but to know I no longer live there. The reason we are returning so soon is a friend and old work colleague of B is getting married.
This is not the only wedding this year that we will have to return to the UK for, making the prospect of saving enough money for a deposit on a house seem like a long long way away. This is made even worse by the fact that the pharmacy in Epping is not able to offer me full time hours, and as their plans to buy a store in Preston has fallen through, that is unlikely to change. So on our return from the wedding I will have to begin searching for jobs again, at least now I have my registration which should make it easier.
In the meantime we have been spending a little more money today, and we have acquired a very nice second hand desk which now resides in our spare bedroom. For only $50 we couldn't resist.
