Count Down to Emigration...330 days.

Yesterday and today, we have been making the most of the bank holidays to start work on clearing out the house.  This might seem a very premature step, especially after my earlier pessimistic posts pointing out how everything hinges on my visa application.  But anyone who has been to our house will appreciate what a mammoth task this is going to be.

Yesterday we spent the majority of the time concentrating on what books we want to keep.  This is a very hard task as we both love all our books.  But ultimately it came down to one simple fact...are we going to read it again.  If the answer was no, the book had to go!

Today was the much more daunting task of clearing out the loft, yet it turned out to be a lot simpler than we initially feared.  That done we then took a trip down to the local charity shop with several black sacks of our cast offs.

Not everything we are getting rid of is going to the charity shops, we are planning to try selling some bits and pieces, such as the books.  There is a car boot sale in Lansdown every week, the plan is to go one weekend and see what we can offload.

Adam.
