Count Down to Emigration...39 Days.

The ebay auctions for the sofa and TV cabinet have less than a day to go, and neither has managed to attract a second bid.  It is now almost certain that they will only sell at 99p each, who knows what the 14 watchers are watching for, you'll never find a cheaper sofa than that.  Now lets just hope they are not time wasters and will actually come and collect them.

There is still a bit of a dilemma as to what we do with our poor unwanted car, sell it for next to nothing to webuyanycar.com, or see how much we can get for scrap.  There is one potential glimmer of hope, as the chef at B's work will need a car for a 6 month period.  Maybe if he can get cheap enough insurance he will be interested in ours.

I'm currently not able to keep track of our countdown on our whiteboard as our whiteboard marker has run out of ink.  Maybe it's time we took down the noticeboard anyway, the numbers are now getting low enough to be hard to forget.

Our travel plans are nearing completion, our next step is to arrange a HaLong bay cruise.  Unfortunately the one we really wanted to do is unavailable, the travel agent has been able to suggest an alternative one, but B is still shopping around in case we can find one that includes a little more.  We will still need to arrange for something to do for a couple of nights near Saigon and then the trip over will be completely booked.

Our biggest issue now is the travel insurance.  We normally get our travel insurance through our bank so we don't have to worry about it.  There are a couple of problems with this, firstly we will be wanting to close the bank account, and secondly the maximum single trip length is 31 days.  This is a recurring theme of most insurance policies I've managed to find.
