As our removal date draws ever closer, it is now time to finalise all the shipping details. As well as actually paying Pickfords for their trouble we also have to fill in a customs declaration form.
I am begining to think I should have started this earlier, as we have to make a declaration of all animal or plant based goods that we are shipping.....in other words anything we have that is made of wood has to be listed: Picture frames, puppets, masks, boxes, ornaments, spice racks, games, clocks, kitchen utensils...to name but a few. As far as 'animal' products go, a few of our masks have feathers, but do we have to declare all our wool clothes?
We e-mailed Pickfords to see how much extra it would cost to add B's bike to the shipping, unfortunatly it would cost more than the bike is worth to do that, so just as we were about to come to the end of our list of items to sell we have a new item to add.
On a possitive note, we can take the 'for sale' sign down from our car's window. Unfortunatly it has not sold, but we have found a willing recipient who will be happy to wait until November to collect it. I just hope they don't change their mind before we go.
