Any bad thing I might have said in the past about the home office I take back. I posted my passport renewal application form off on Saturday, expecting to wait the 3 weeks indicated on the accompanying notes. Yet it is here today and they would not even have received it until Monday, It's a good job I didn't waste my money on the express service.
I could have gone to Malta with B this weekend after all.
